~ A PROJECT OF COLORADO NONPROFIT DEVELOPMENT CENTER ~
La Cultura Cura , or healing culture, it includes ceremonies, rituals, and arts that can be used to help many youth overcome the multigenerational pain that surrounds them and leads to the death and destruction that is present in the community.
One Way uses a two-tier process to motivate change in gang-involved youth.  This unique program was conceived over one year ago as a means to deal with rising and evolving gang issues in Denver.  One Way effectively utilizes a multitude of approaches to inspire positive lifestyle choices in gang-involved youth.  These approaches, based on the 6 Stages of Change Model, will serve to help the youth identify negative behavioral patterns and the cause of such patterns in their lives, build upon their strengths, and identify weaknesses, internal and external, that impede change.

One Way utilizes the important concept of Cultura Cura and uses culture as a vehicle for change. Many Chicano/Mexicano youth will tell you that they are proud that they are proud to be Chicano/Mexicano, but most fail to respond when asked what they are doing to positively affect their people. We focus on holding group members accountable not only to themselves, but to their community and society as a whole. The positive aspects of heritage and culture can be used to inspire positive change. The journey through the history and culture of our people turns up many humble beginnings and great achievements.

ONE WAY is not having groups at this time.
